Bhubaneswar: A man allegedly strangled his wife and son to death and then tried to commit suicide by cutting down his wrist, in Kalinga Vihar, here on Tuesday.
Police said Abanti Bijay Mangaraj (40) depression after losing his job during locking and suffering large losses in the stock market.
The police arrested Mangaraj from the hospital, where he underwent treatment and said to be stable.
His wife’s body and son, Swarnalata (35) and accurate (10), recovered from their homes.
“Mangaraj in a deep financial crisis.
He lost his job during the class this year.
He tried his luck in the stock market but caused severe losses,” said Deputy Commissioner of the Uma Police Shankar Dash.
