Kanpur: The employees of Ordnance Equipment Factory (OEF), Phoolbagh staged a demonstration Friday against Union administration’s decision to corporatise most of 41 ordnance factories which provide arms and ammunition as well as other gear entirely on the Indian armed forces.
Ordnance factories comprise DRDO labs, including MES, COD, Army foundation workshops and respective sections of the army, navy and air pressure.
Sameer Bajpai, senior vice-president of both OEF, Phoolbagh Kanpur Qila Mazdoor Union, stated”The eyes of the Central authorities are about the lands of their ordnance factories.
