Ludhiana: With the threat of third covid waves that towering and experts say that vaccination will help citizens install on it, only seven out of 100 people in the district who have received the second dose of vaccines while more than 32 out of 100 people have received the first dose, according to The latest report from the state government.
Even as the number of people who get the second dose of low, there are other districts in the state that even has a level worse than Ludhiana.as per report on the state government about vaccination coverage, from 100 people in Ludhiana, 32.7 has received the first dose to Thursday night.
Ludhiana was in fifth place in Punjab so far.
SAS Nagar has been vaccinated 61.1 people from 100 with the first dose, Hoshiarpur and Jalandhar 41.4 and 34, respectively.
Mansa has the lowest of 14.1 which is stabbed with the first dose.
In Ludhiana, only seven people per 100 received a second dose until Thursday night.
Six districts have a better score.
SAS Nagar has 10.1 people who are fully vaccinated, Hoshiarpur 8.5, Jalandhar and Gurdaspur 7.6.
In Mansa again, only 1.8 people per 100 have received a second dose.
The state number to be fully vaccinated is 4.9 and those who have received the first dose are 24.4.
However, the authorities say the department must take data from eligible people.
Dr Puneet District Immunization Officer Junkeja said the number of people who were vaccinated per 100 who qualified was the right way to calculate data.
He added that from 24 lakh people in the district (eligible for vaccination over the age of 18), they have given the first dose to 11.5 lakh and the second dose becomes around 2.5 lakh.
The officer said, “Whatever stock we get is used and the state government cannot do much when there is a lack of supply.” Health experts say vaccination is important to prevent the third wave.
“Because there are third wave opportunities between August and September-end, it is important to vaccinate people who meet the maximum requirements.
The government must make the settings needed to supply vaccines,” said President Ludhiana Ima Dr.
Saroj Aggarwal.
