Offer liquor stores to get Delhi RS 10K CR

New Delhi: Deputy Chairman of Delhi Minister Manish Sisodia on Wednesday said the city government has earned more than 23% in the current financial year, but will get Rs 10,000 Crore from the supply of liquor stores under the new excise policy.
“We will get an income of RS 10,000 Crore from the supply of liquor stores under the new excise policy.
We have received almost 225 offers for 32 zones of the city.” It will be around RS 3,500 Crore additional income from what we get in 2019-20.

In the 2019-20 financial year, the government has collected Rs 6,300 Crore from the supply of liquor stores, “said Sisodia.
He said additional income was the result of reform in excise policy as before the income was stolen.
Deputy CM also said that the Delhi government was led AAP earned 41% less last year due to Covid-19 pandemic.
“Because of the coronavirus-induced locking, less economic activity than low tax collection.
Under Value Added Tax (VAT), the Government obtained a lower income of 25% in the current fiscal, while in the cures it collected 30 percent less income, “he said.
