Ludhiana: A robber killed and the bank manager was injured in a robbery effort at the bank in Ludhiana on Saturday morning.
Three people broke into the Sundar Nagar branch of Muthoot Fincorp in a robbery offer.
However, staff fight and thwart their plans.
After robbers opened fire, the branch manager suffered a bullet injury.
One robber was also shot dead by a side side by side security guard.
Assistant Commissioner of Police Dharampal said that the incident occurred around 10:30 a.m.
After the robbers broke through, they asked the staff to hand over gold but the branch manager refused, he said.
According to witnesses, the second robber was covered by the audience, while the third robber managed to escape.
However, the police have not confirmed this.
