New Delhi: Slaming the initial suspension of Lok Sabha as BJP tactics to paint opposition in bad light, Congress on Wednesday accused the government to escape the debate about Pegasus scandal lurking which must be clarified as a national security implication.
To impress the point, the opposition block together, with Rahul Gandhi, will be on Thursday March for Vijay Chowk in protest and “Tell the people that the government avoided discussions about state combustion problems”.
Congress leader at Lok Sabha Adhir Ranjan Chowdhury told reporters that Pegasus was an international problem and revelation of it being investigated by Top Democracy such as France and Israel while it has created a commotion in Hungary, Germany and other countries.
He said the government should accept opposition requests for discussion at home, there was absence which caused the Monsun session blockade.
“It’s not an inappropriate request.
The government has given a different statement through the Ministry of Defense, the Ministry of Home Affairs and the Ministry of Information Technology.
People are confused about what Pegasus spy scandal,” Chowdhury said.
Chowdhury said the opposition also wanted a discussion about farmers’ protests, low vaccination rates, Covid management, inflation and fuel prices.
“Yesterday we supported the government in passing the 127th constitutional amendment bill because it gave the power to state in the OBC list.
This shows that we understand their responsibilities,” he said.
Changing Dig at PM, Chowdhury said when everything was finished, Modi came to the house on Wednesday, which clearly showed that the government was not interested in parliament.
