Thiruvananthapuram: Chairman of Pinarayi Vijayan’s Minister said that the opposition to development projects in the state could be overcome if the reason was scientifically analyzed and opposed.
He inaugurated the first Kerala Administrative Officer (KAS).
Vijayan said the perception that nothing would happen in the state had changed.
Citing examples of national highway development, Jalan Raya Kochi-Edamon and Gail Pipe Projects, he said: “There is a strong opposition to all these projects.
We can make those who oppose these projects understand the benefits.
We are able to make They understand that these projects are needed for the future of our country and our next generation, and they in turn welcome them.
In fact, those who oppose development projects are also beneficiaries of these projects, “he said.
The government faces harsh opposition to the proposed Silverline high-speed railroad project.
In addition to UDF and BJP, the general public also opposes land acquisition plans.
Overcoming cash officers, the ministerial head said they had to maintain friendly relations with IAS officials.
He said while IAS officials must fulfill their responsibilities of the state with a nationalistic perspective, cash officers must also ensure coordination between departments while carrying out their department’s duties.
Civil service must be more person-oriented because the government applies its policy through it.
Cash is formed because it uses new generation knowledge in state administration.
Civil service is through a rough phase, and there is an accidental effort to weaken it.
The state government tried to strengthen it because it saw strong civil service as an imperative.
The minister’s chairman praised those who worked to realize the concept of cash and the efforts of the State Public Service Commission.
The government has launched cash as a feeder service to IAS and recruited 105 members for it but cash salary scales have faced criticism.
The entry-level salary scale has been fixed as equivalent to all-Indian service officers with nine years of service and all-India service officers have made representations to the government in this matter.
Also, special rules are framed to form cash having disadvantages that remain unresolved and there is scope for legal battle between cash officials and their upper state government employees.
