Ludhiana: In a security violation at the Income Tax Office, the Branch of Jalan Ferozepur, a laptop was stolen by an unknown defendant.
Police Sarabha Nagar, who submitted FIR on Thursday night, suspected the involvement of insiders.
FIR was registered with the complaint of Inspector of Harkesh Meena from the Office of the Commissioner of Income Tax (Unit Appeal), Ferozepur Road.
The appeal unit has data from all taxpayers who have disputes, in addition to draft orders and audience days recording.
Inspector Meena said the laptop department was stolen from the unit-4 appeal used on October 7, and was found lost on October 11.
