Hyderabad: Hyderabad Metropolitan Development Authority (HMDA) may have compiled an ambitious plan to beautify and protect the lake with the help of developers, but the authorities are still struggling to complete the installation of full tank (FTL) for 3,000 lakes in the metropolitan area.
Officials said the implementation of fixed FTL began in 2013 by authority, but the lake protection committee is now asked to protect and save lake.
The source said that a total of 3,532 lakes in HMDA jurisdictions, physical surveys were completed for 3,114 lakes.
“The initial notification of the lake along with maps, the number of surveys and other levels and details has been stated for 2,195 lakes and 230 of them have been notified by final notifications,” said HMDA senior official.
Explain the difference between preliminary and final notifications, an official says that in the initial notification is only a map, wide, the number of surveys and coordinates mentioned.
When it comes to final notifications, the extent of the lake with income surveys and irrigation departments, maps, the breadth of lakes in each survey number and other minute details is added.
The source said that many lake final notifications were suspended as income reports and irrigation departments, especially the level and the number of surveys did not match.
