Officials to accelerate disbursal Aid Covid in Delhi

New Delhi: Expressing strong displeasure of suffering in the implementation of Mukhyamantri Parivar Aarthik Sahayata Yojana, Chairman of the Minister of Arvind Kejriwal on Friday at a high-level review meeting directing officials to disburse the number of victims of Covid-19 earliest.
So far, the amount of Ex Gratia has transferred to a bank account of 7,163 beneficiaries.
CM said the death certificate and certificate of persistent members were no longer needed from beneficiaries.
He asked officials to verify the application from the MHA list or official note and immediately disburse funds.
Under the scheme, the Government AAP gave a one-time Gratia EX of Rs 50,000 to families who lost members and Rs 2,500 per month to retire to orphans because of Covid-19.
Kejriawal has asked officials to go to family-beneficiaries’ homes, get the process of being completed, and transferring money next Wednesday.
Emphasizing that the task of the government is to entertain and support the grieving family and do not create problems for them and applicants should not be asked to come to the office, said Kejriwal, “if his partner lives, give them all the number and if the children are still alive , then the amount must be shared among them equivalent.
“Deputy CM Manish Sisodia, Minister of Social Welfare of Social Welfare Rajendra Pal Gautam and senior government officials attended the meeting, in addition to DMS all districts.
Someone who faced a problem in the application process was brought to a meeting where he narrated the trial of his official who did not speed up the process.
The main minister instructed officials to be more sensitive to deal with applicants.
“It’s time for officials to understand the work criticality they do.
This is the express direction that no one has to witness a similar scenario and officers recognize the state of affairs,” CM said.
The main secretary asked officials to take full responsibility and understand the sensitivity of the situation.
Overall, 25,709 applications have been received for one EX Gratia number of Rs 50,000 below the scheme.
From this, 24,475 applications have been calculated by the MHA list.
About 1,130 teams with 2,019 employees have been deployed to visit applicant houses.
Verification of around 19,000 applicants has been completed.
During verification, 1,250 people opt out of the scheme.
The Ministry of Health has approved 9,043 applications and denied 1,425 for various reasons.
Officials told CM that 6,700 applications have been accepted for monthly financial assistance.
From this, 3,648 approved applications and 3,131 beneficiaries began to benefit.
So far, Rs 1,56,57,500 has been transferred to their account.
