Bhubaneswar: Offline class for Bachelor (UG) First year students began from Monday after completing this student acceptance process on October 28.
The college level throughout the country received an average of around 50 percent of the first year’s students on the first day.
Students are seen wearing facial masks when entering college in the capital city.
Classes are done for newcomers in each subject.
Authorities estimate that the flow of students will increase after the diwali holiday ends.
Students will also receive entrance tickets to the hostel in the next two days.

“Many students come from places far from Odisha and outside.
When the Diwali Festival will be celebrated on November 4, the presence will increase after this festival is complete,” he added.
Sasmita Sarangi, Principal of Rajdhani College, said that every department has conducted a class for UG students first year.
“About 50 percent of students attend classes on the first day.
The last date to register for accommodation Hostel is November 3.
Attendance will increase after this,” he added.
Likewise, Sasmita Mohanty, Chair of the PG Board, Women’s University of Rama Devi, said they received 50 percent of attendance on the first day.
“We have plans to hold an orientation program for newcomers after 15 days,” he added.
Bablu Palai, a student UG First year from Ganjam, said he attended two classes – English and political science – on the first day.
“I feel happy to attend an offline class after a few months.
There is excitement in my mind to meet new friends and attend classes in new colleges,” he added.
Although the acceptance of phase-i has finished, the Department of Higher Education will receive phase-II for students who will pass the offline council exam from art, science, trade and vocational flow.
The results of the examination have not been published.
Current students from offline examinations can fill out their general application form through the Student Academic Management System Portal (Sams) and participate in the receipt of UG.
Empty seats at the college level will be filled in phase-II.
These students will then attend class.
Meanwhile, the Department of Higher Education has also announced that the first PG class will begin on November 15.
