Surat: Sardar Vallabhbhai National Institute of Technology (SVNIT) will begin teaching offline from January 3, 2022 for all students.
The Premier Engineering Institute has asked all students to return at the end of December and remain under isolation at least for a week before the offline class starts.
This institute currently holds an online and offline exam for different semesters.
However, offline teaching has begun for MTech and PhD students.
These students will appear for offline exams at the end of December.
BTECH and MSC students have been instructed to report to the Institute at the end of December.
“From January 3, 2022 we will start teaching offline for all students.
We have announced the date first so they can plan it,” said an official SVNIT.
After nearly 18 months the campus will return to normal with more than 4,000 students who attend classes physically.
“The Institute will ensure that the Covid-19 protocol is followed during offline teaching.
It is important to start offline teaching,” the official said.
This institute has held several exams in online mode for the last three semesters.
“We try to hold online tests in the best way but do not match the quality of offline tests.
Offline Examples are important to assess student knowledge,” said Svnit faculty member.
