Patna: Forget cash and jewelry.
Now vegetable oil, the price that has skyrocketed on the market, is the latest target of criminals.
The criminals entered Godown from a private body in Purnia and looted vegetable oil worth more than Rs 8.16 lakh in Wee week.
Police said more than a dozen criminals wearing masks blown into Godown from Emami Agrotech Private Ltd at Ramraj Chowk under the Purnia Police Station conscious and vegetable oil stolen for local distribution.
GoDown guard, Mohammad Alam, was taken hostage by criminals before being taken to an isolated location.
Cartons and vegetable oil packages are then published in a truck parked on the campus of the failure.
“The operation continued for about two hours.
All criminals covered their faces with towels and masks,” the guard told the police.
Incharge from Godown and Ritesh Store Farm owner, Ritesh Gungarwal, filed a complaint with a conscious police station in connection with a booty.
“We hope the police will immediately solve the case,” he told reporters in Purnia.

“Prices soaring vegetable oil may have attracted criminals to loot essential commodities,” said an investigative officer.
Previously, trucks carrying garlic and onions were hijacked by criminals on NH-02 in Kaiur and Rohtas.
Although the campfire was submitted by the victims, nothing had happened in two cases.
