New Delhi: Women finally seemed to get a fairer deal when it came to Shopfloor.
Because Ola Electric announces the “All-Woman” strong workforce in the upcoming two-wheeled factory in Chennai, this marks a growing trend where women get prioritized even in a critical and difficult manufacturing process (see graph).
To have women in the factory, the company makes a special setting and careful to have a friendly environment – directly from a separate toilet to have a team that takes care of diversity problems, to ensure adequate shift hours, and ensure transportation and logistics.
Bhavish Aggarwal, the founders of Ola, said that the decision for the workforce of all women will ensure inclusive labor and provide economic opportunities for women.
Rahul Sharma, CEO of the Aluminum Division Vedanta, said the company adopted a gender neutral attitude in the appointment.
“Women in Vedanta Aluminum have managed an unconventional role such as commercial, logistics, plant security, smelting operations, to cranes operations and engine tend to pot.” “Initially, we invited female family members to the factory to see work.
We even went to their homes for a conscious session, and participated in Gram Panchayats to motivate people,” said an MG official, added that the bus and canteen facilities were provided free.
