Old city market shop horn lock with officials, stage protests

Anti-encroachment of Driveludhiana: On the second day on Thursday, the shared anti-encroachment drive was carried out by city corporations and traffic police at a strong hatred of the shop owner in the old city market.
Before starting the drive, the authorities asked the shopkeeper to keep their belongings spill on the road.
The drive starts from the BL Kapoor Hospital, and passes the market from the Daresi, books, the closest baths and then reaches the road to the train station.
Near Railway Station Road, officials have heated up arguments with shop owners, who even blocked the road for almost an hour.
Initially, there was not much hatred, but when officials reached Railway Station Road, a number of shop owners gathered.
Store owners accused that MC officials raised a counter with from within an electronic store and cellphone cover, headphones and other things thrown away.
It expelled the shopkeepers and they began to raise slogans against MCs and the Government of Congress.
The police tried to calm them down, but they refused to budge and block MC vehicles.
One of the shop owners accused that he was pushed away and his turban was thrown.
When the police raised one of the protesters from the road, the shop owner blocked the road with Autos and sat there for almost an hour.
Deputy Deputy Mayor of Shyam Sunder Malhotra arrived on the site and told the shopkeepers that the drive was done to solve traffic problems and they needed their support.
He convinced them to end the protest and police from the Kotwali police station also arrived there, after the protest ended.
When asked about Drive, Malhotra said, “Public complaints about congestion in the old city market flowed, so we have started this trip.
If the shop owner behaves like this, how will we manage the situation? I will talk to the Mayor of Balkar Sandhu about it.
“However, he denied the allegations of the shop owner and said MC staff raised material from the roadside and not from shops.
To eliminate temporary encroachment, no need to serve notification, he added.
