Kolkata: Trinamool Congress on Monday brings a massive change in organization, triggers some fresh faces and ends the old guard, with a special encouragement to tighten the party in the regions where he has produced land to BJP.
TMC National Secretary General Abhishek Banerjee was seen in the reshuffle as his policy of ‘one person, one post’ caused some old guards to lose their position.
At the same time, the ruling party in West Bengal formed several new district committees with a mix of experienced leaders and young Turks.
For the first time since its formation in 1998, TMC divided 23 of the 35th State Administration District of the Party organization.
The Civil Cabinet Minister Jyotipriyo Mullick, Arup Ray, Soumen Mahapatra and Debnath’s Swipes were released from their responsibilities as President of the TMC district of 24 Pargana, HOWRA, Purba Medinipur and Purba Bardhaman.
MP Krishnanagar Mahua Moitra was also dropped as head of the Nadia District District.
TMC Party leader Lok Sabha Sudip Bandopadhyay was dropped as President of North Kolkata District and made the chairman of the District Committee.
BARARAGAR MLA and former State Minister for Tapas Ray were appointed as Head of the New District of North Kolkata.
The wing of the party’s young man, Trinamool Youth Congress, also underwent a change with all the leaders over the age of 40 which was accessed from their position and the new head was appointed in several district units.

The presidential party from several districts including Howrah, Coochbehar, Purulia, Hooghly, Paschim Medinipur, Nadia, Bankura, Jhargram, Malda, North and South Murshidabad were removed, and fresh faces given allegations of the new organization district.
The change was close because of the multiple responsibility of various TMC leaders affected the organization at the grassroots level, a senior party leader said.
“Some party leaders hold a dual portfolio such as district presidents and state ministers.
