Olympic offer: 2 agents in Fray to make a roadmap for AHD

Ahmedabad: Just like an offer for the consultant – to prepare a road map for Ahmedabad’s dream to hold the 2036 Olympics – opened on Tuesday, the authority of the Development of Urban Ahmedabad (Auda) found two institutions, competing for the work.
During the last pre-offer meeting held on June 8, eight to 10 agents had approached Auda.
The consulting company has questions about revising the time schedule for submission of offers and also seek clarification of the guidelines mentioned in the Auda offer document.
A senior official told Tii, “Certain consultants demanded more time to prepare a strong proposal.
Initially there were international groups that had approached us, but on Tuesday we learned that many chose,” said a senior official.
Now it will be the Auda Board to decide whether to refer to the Round of an interesting expression (EOIS) to accommodate more players in the bid process or continue with two competitors.
These documents will be analyzed by experts from the Indian Sports Authority (SAI) and Auda.
Auda, the City Puncak City Urban Planning Agency, has on June 8 inviting proposals from consultants to assess the place and infrastructure needed to host the game.
The Olympic game center will be the upcoming 4.118 crore RS SVP Sports Enclave on the banks of the river near the village of Bhat.
The winning consultant must provide a comprehensive document that assesses sports and non-sports and city infrastructure to organize the game and identify the options for the host cities for the Olympics.
Consultants, who have been selected, will prepare a road map, the second main task is to engage in ‘sustainable and targeted dialogue’ for the Olympic offer and in accordance with the IOC rules, Olympic Charter and the IOC code of ethics.
The Gujarat government proposal sent to the Union of the Ministry of Youth and Sports Affairs said that special purpose vehicles (SPV) will be formed will expect for generous funding.
The government has not collaborated with Auda.
Government shares of the centers in funds will be 30% -70% or 50% respectively, “said an official of the Urban Development Department.
The official added,” We also explore the possibility of drawing 1,100 crore in private investment.
