Tokyo: Indian Swimmer Sajan Prakash failed to qualify for the 200m butterfly semi-final at the Tokyo Olympics after completing the fourth in hot 2 here on Monday.
Prakash, who served 1:56:38 In Italy last month to violate the sign for the Olympic qualification, can only manage 1: 57.22 to complete 24 swimmers.
Top-16 developed into the semifinals.
Prakash will compete in a 100m butterfly on Thursday.
Other Indians at the Olympics, Maana Patel and Srihari Nataraj, have come out of the competition.
