Hyderabad: The bearer of the flag of Indian tennis contingent Sania Mirza and Ankita Raina is now heading to Tokyo for the upcoming Olympics.
Duo Sania and Ankita were seen at Hyderabad airport on Monday, the Indian Sports Authority (SAI) confirmed.
Earlier this month, Sania Mirza and Ankita Raina were confirmed to represent India in the women’s doubles in Tokyo 2020 after the entries were officially announced.

The boxing team, led by MC Mary Kom, Badminton Ace PV Sindhu, Arana Uran, Das and Deepika Kumari, along with the Indian and Woman Hockey team, reached Tokyo on Sunday.
Until now, athletes and support staff from 13 different disciplines – badminton, archery, hockey, judo, swimming, weightlifting, gymnastics, shooting, boxing, paddles, sailing, weightlifting, and table tennis – has reached Japan.
The rest of the contingent, including wrestling and athletic teams, is expected to immediately join them.
