While Sindhu has been seeded sixth and withdrawn in Group J from Singles Women, Praneph was seeded 13 Group D Single Male Competition.

Sindhu will face the world of Hong Kong number 34 Cheung Ngan Yi and Israel Ksenia Polycarpova, rank 58th, at the league stage, while Praneph must pass through the world no 29 Mark Caljouw Dutch and Isreal Misha Zilberman, ranked 47.
