New Delhi: Indigo on Sunday said it would cancel about 20 percent of his flight because of a surge in Covid cases driven by the Omicron variant and freed the cost of change until March 31 in response to customer needs.
Change costs are paid by passengers to switch to different flight dates.
In a press release, the airline stated that because of the increasing number of infections, a large number of Indigo customers changed their travel plans.
“Responding to customer needs, Indigo frees the cost of change and offers free changes for all new and existing bookings made until January 31, for flights until March 31, 2022,” mentioned.
The budget carrier said with a decrease in demand, he would also selectively draw several flights from services.
“We anticipate that around 20 percent of our current scheduled operations will be withdrawn from services.” “If possible, flight cancellation will be carried out at least 72 hours in advance and customers will be moved to the next available flight and will also be able to change their journey through the use of the B plan (section) on our website,” it was recorded.
The airline encourages customers to digital channels since the call center has handled a large number of calls.
