Omicron-hit suffers from sore throat, body pain, no odor

Mumbai: Throat a little itchy, fatigue, body pain and lightweight fever are some of the main symptoms experienced by patients treated at Sevenhills Hospital for Omicron variants.
Andheri Hospital, which is dedicated to cases of new variants, has handled 14 patients until now.
Thirteen has been repatriated.
Of the 14 cases, eight asymptomatics.
“Among those who have symptoms, the most complain of sore throat, fatigue and body pain,” said one of the treated doctors, added that there was no disease development anywhere.
The HRCT scan of all patients remains practically unchanged, meaning that there is no lung involvement.
Most can be treated with basic fever and pain medications such as paracetamol, while asymptomatic patients are given multivitamins.
In all of Maharashtra, 32 cases of Omicron have been reported.
Dr.
Pradeep kicked, the state supervision officer, said 50% did not have one symptom.
The rest suffered a mild fever on the 1st day, runny nose, and fever with coughing.
Interestingly, the anosmia or loss of smell that has been considered a Covid-19 marker is not visible in the omicron patient, said awate.
Of the 32 infected, 25 (78%) vaccinated and five were minors.
Two individuals who are not vaccinated also do not see the main symptoms.
One of them, a Nagpur resident, is a reinfection case.
The man suffered a mild illness even during the last fight.
Doctor Sevenhills said it would be early to comment on the severity of Omicron as a case they encountered several and among young people who were fully vaccinated without comorbidity.
Different small details in omicrons patients from those with Delta variants are fever nails.
“In Delta patients, we will often see high-quality fever, soaring several times a day.
We don’t see this in omicron patients.
They have a lightweight fever with almost no nails,” Doctor added.
Because no one has the main development of this disease, they do not manage monoclonal antibodies.
Suresh Kakani, Commissioner of the additional city of BMC, said from the initial cohort of the patient, no one needed oxygen or escalation support in medicine.
Mumbai has seen the highest cases (13), followed by 10 in Pimpri Chinchwad.
The cluster includes four children.
The local doctor said the children were asymptomatic even though they were not vaccinated.
The doctor who attended the only patient who was infected in the latter, a 33-year-old man, said he was only a lightweight and cough fever.
“Returning to Mumbai from Dubai, he experienced these symptoms and was quarantined at home,” said Dr.
Hanmant Wadgave, district health workers.
He has fully recovered but the reports of RT-PCR tests have worked, so he was still in the hospital.
