On 17K, the Covid Daily GUJ surge is higher than the top 2 wave peak

Ahmedabad: Gujarat on Tuesday recorded 17,119 Covid-19 cases, breaking the highest time of 14,605 daily cases registered on April 30 last year at the top of the second wave.
The state sees a spike of 34% in the case of a day, recording an average of 12 cases every minute.
It also recorded 10 deaths after seven months.
It was also the highest daily calculation day for four big cities Gujarat.
Against Previous Height 5,790 In April last year, Ahmedabad City recorded 5,998 cases.
Letter and Vadodara have recorded the highest everyday case on January 14 this year at 2,986 and 1,274 respectively.
Against this, on Tuesday these cities recorded 3,563 and 1,529 cases.
Rajkot recorded the highest leap – from 764 on April 20 last year to 1,336.
It was the first day for a country where the four major cities recorded 1,000-plus cases everyday.
When the country struggled with a third wave that jumped, a lack of doctors in college and government hospitals continued to hit the country.
Eight Gujarat Medical & Education Research Society (GMERS) -run College of Gujarat has 30% lack of doctors because the college authorities have not been able to fill 323 empty positions professor, assidor professor and assistant professor.
While the doctors in this college have been at the forefront of the State Battle against Covid-19 for about two years now, changes in power by GMERS authorities for more than three years now where the professor recruited permanently said to be the main reason behind this shortcoming in Covid Warriors.
“The last recruitment for regular full-time faculty members in July 2019 After that recruitment has been carried out in a three-year contractual,” said Bipin Nayak, CEO, GMERS.
GMERS-RUN MEDICAL COLLEGES is in Sola, Ahmedabad, Gandhinagar, Himmatnagar, Vadnagar, Patan, Gotri, Valsad, Junagadh.
This medical college is affiliated with a civil hospital managed by the state government run by the State appointed Trust Gmers.
There are 1,600 seats for reception in the first year MBBS every year and there will be around 6,400 students in their first year for the fourth year of studying at eight of these colleges.
Some experts feel that it is difficult to find faculty members in the clinical branch compared to non-clinical ones.
Of the 323 empty positions, around 250 will be for the clinical field.
In the case of the professor there are 60 which are employed regularly while 31 positions are filled with a contractual appointment.
The total number of positions approved by the Gmer is 169 of which total 78 release.
Dr.
Nitin Vora, the Dean of the Gmers Medical College in Sola in Ahmedabad said the number of empty posts in college was less than 10%.
“In cases of cities such as Ahmedabad, Vadodara, Rajkot and letters are easier to find faculties in clinical areas compared to other small towns in Gujarat.” The government-managed Gmer and medical college doctors have threatened to strike from January 20 to suppress their delayed demands.
One of their demands was to recruit faculty members in Gmers Colleges permanently and get rid of the system of hiring a temporary teacher.
“In many cases, the assistant professor was recruited based on a 11-month contract.
Maybe a lack of commitment to their part because they are in a brief duration.
The government can improve their responsibilities by recruiting them permanently,” said Dr.
Bhavesh Dalwadi, Secretary, GMers.
Dr.
Hiren Prajapati, President of the Faculty of GMers Association, said that employing faculty contracts would not attract candidates from the clinical field.
“There is a lot of pressure on students because of lack of faculty,” said Dr.
Prajapani.
