Gurgaon: Municipal Corporation of Gurgaon (MCG) Staffers reached the office through 9.07 in the morning trapped on Wednesday to find themselves locked.
Newly appointed urban minister (ULB) Kamal Gupta, who was experiencing a surprising visit to the Sector 34 MCG office, had ordered the gateway to the second floor, the housing department of engineering and account, to close at 9.06, made it clear that there was no Peecomers who will be permitted in the building.
“Don’t delay two minutes to be tolerated.
You have to start 10 minutes before for the office and make sure to mark the presence before 9am and be in your chair at 9 am,” Gupta said.
Following in the footsteps of his predecessor, Minister of Internal Affairs Anil Vij, Gupta also warned staff to strictly maintain registers of attendance and on time.
While the staff who reached overtime on Wednesday were then allowed to the office, the minister asked them to submit an explanation and issue orders to start actions against them.
The then the day, during a meeting with the commissioner and commissioners together in the civil line, Gupta directed senior officers to review the work assigned to subordinate staff and began actions against anyone who was used to waiting for work and did not comply with rules and regulations.
