New Delhi: India reported an average of 80 murders every day in 2020, amounting to 29,193 deaths during this year, with Uttar Pradesh added graphs among countries, according to the latest National Recording Bureau (NCRB) data released on Wednesday.
This is an increase in one percent over a total of 28.915 murder in 2019, with a daily average of 79 murders during this year, data shows.
However, cases of kidnapping and abduction, down more than 19 percent in 2020 compared to 2019.
There were a total of 84 805 cases of kidnapping and abduction in 2020 by opposing 1.05.036 in 2019, according to statistics by NCRB, which functions under the Union Home Ministry.
Among the countries, a maximum of 3.779 murder cases in 2020 was submitted in Uttar Pradesh followed by Bihar (3,150), Maharashtra (2,163), Madhya Pradesh (2,101) and West West (1,948) showed.

NCRB stated that there were 88,590 total victims in 84,805 cases of kidnapping and kidnapping in the country last year.
