On Day 1, Taman Bharat Darshan Delhi Cleanses Rs 5.5l

New Delhi: Covid the latest Curbs may affect footsteps in the newly launched Bharat Darshan park, but visitor feedback has inspired South Delhi Municipal Corporation (SDMC).
The Civic body has decided to place the proposed plan for the second phase of the project before the deliberative wing immediately.
The corporation has made 22 replicas from 14 states in phase I and the park open to the public on Sundays.
In phase II, SDMC plans to build 17 other replicas from the state and other union regions, including a snake boat race from Kerala, Nishat Bagh from Kashmir, Sheesh expensive from Punjab and Lepshi from Andhra Pradesh, an official said.
SDMC Commissioner Gyanesh Bharti also talked about taking Phase II immediately during the inauguration ceremony on Saturday.
“We have prepared a plan and will soon be placed before the committee to be considered,” said an official.
On Day 1, 4,227 tickets for sale and the collection of Rs 5.5 lakh.
While the park will still close on every Monday, the collection is down to RS 1.3 lakh this Tuesday due to rain.
The complex must be closed due to technical disruptions on Wednesday.
Following the new Covid Curbs, only 884 tickets were sold for RS 80,000 on Thursday.
Target SDMC to recover project costs – RS 20 Crore – in a year from ticket sales.
An official said SDMC had taken all Covid security measures.
“We are distributing guards everywhere not to allow crowding.
They also check the social distance and wear a mask,” said the official, adding that no tickets sold after 19:30 to ensure that the park can be emptied at 9 o’clock night.
