On omelet, free valet parking for party buyers

Mumbai: Towards Dussehra & Diwali, Vyapari Dadar Sangh and BMC will together provide free valet parking in the Kohinoor public parking lot run by Civic near Sena Bhavan in Shivaji Park.
The plan is to provide free valet services for three hours in the BMC parking lot that can be paid by the merchant body.
Parking lots can accommodate 1,100 vehicles.
After three hours, motorists have to pay parking charges if they continue to leave their vehicle at the facility.
BMC said that the model will be launched on the basis of the pilot where uniformed assistants will be placed in various places from Sena Bhavan to NC Kelkar Marg and Senapati Bapat Marg to provide valet services.
Vyapari Sangh said that they were willing to pay charges to avoid multiplication of vehicles on the road, causing traffic congestion in the market that had been crowded.
Sunil Shah, President of Dadar Vyapari Sangh said, “While BMC has established a large public parking facility, the driver cannot benefit from him.
The buyer said it was located in another corner and they got their driver who remained in the car.
It adds to the traffic jam .
So, we propose a solution.
“Assistant Commissioner G-North Ward, Kiran Dighavkar, said they positively saw starting service and experimenting something for the first time.
