Agra: Attorney of the Supreme Court Seema Kushwaha, who has fought the 2012 NIRBHAYA case and is currently a lawyer Kin from victims of gang rape and murder, joined BSP on Thursday in front of the Satish Party Secretary General Chandra Misra.
Speaking with Toi, Kushwaha said he was inspired by Mayawati.
“He has struggled a lot in his life and became a woman he understood the fate of women,” he said, adding that during his tenure of law and the situation of order in the country was good.
“The crime against women has increased.
I fought with several rape and murder cases, whose victims had been Dalit, such as Hathras’s case.
But now I want to work on policy and it is only possible by joining politics.”
