On ‘technical reasons’, GUV rejected 5 cases called by Lokayukta

Margao: Governor of Pillai Pillai Pillai has fired five cases that referred him by Lokayukta the country “on a technical reason”.
Cases – related to corruption, failure to provide services, etc.
– are waiting at the governor’s office for three years, and references are under the provisions of the Goa Lokayukta law.
Pillai expressed dismissal while speaking in a program held to mark the national voter day at Ravindra Bhavan, Margao, on Tuesday.
He said that while the actions provided for the Lokayukta report on cases involving public functionaries to be sent to the governor, the law was silent about how the Governor had to continue the action.
Emphasizing the need to overcome this “Lacuna” in a system that deals with anti-corruption and other cases involving people who hold public offices, Pillai asked political parties to reflect on the problem because he said, “There is no government will come and think of all these things “.
“I found that according to the action, (after a case called governor) there were no further steps set,” he said.
“I am aware of the fact that the Supreme Court, in one of its importance assessments, states that if it is not stated in clear terms (in law), the governor does not have the authority to do (anything).
So, five such compares as referred to the governor by our system has been dismissed for recent technical reasons, “he said.
The state government has so far failed to act on one of the recommended cases to take action by Goa Lokayukta.
Pillai said that in addition to five Lokayukta cases were discarded by him, several cases called it by the state government and the University of Goa, who waited long, cleaned.
“All files are cleaned before the selection notification is issued,” he said.
Praising the office of the election of state heads for steps taken to carry out the upcoming elections “inclusive and participatory,” said Pillai, “the fact that the Indian Election Commission put so much emphasis on voter education even now shows that we still have fun to reach 100% voter literacy “.
Speaking further, Pillai shows that since 1952, no ruling party has won selection selection of more than 50% of the total sound.
The reason why, he said, was all more important for ‘rights to different’ to be respected more stringent in our political system.
“Even with a majority, the ruling parties have fallen under the middle sign (the percentage of the total sound surveyed).
This can be interpreted to mean that voters in our country have provided opposition roles that are equally important to play in our rival-oriented political system , “Pillai said.
