AHMEDABAD: Starting Monday, the civic body maintains it’ll conduct a vaccination drive which intends to jab 1 lakh Amdavadis daily.
An individual need not enroll on CoWIN but today taxpayers can register immediately at the law centers.
All these claims have been made at the background of their vaccination facilities being raised from 282 to near 400 stalls and that almost 26,000 to 31,000 children in the 18 to 44 age category have been enrolling themselves daily on CoWIN.
A significant challenge, though, will be regulating the audience which will throng urban health centers (UHCs) and community centers of the AMC.
“We get inventory of over one lakh doses per day for Ahmedabad city.
Nowadays there are over 50 lakh people at the 18 to 44 age category and of those there are 24 lakh people that are not yet been vaccinated.
We aim to provide first dose to such people on priority,” says a senior AMC official.
The next action program would be to mobilise individuals directly from chawls to communities from the era category.
By Monday onwards municipal zonal teams would be seeing residential societies to enquire about how many from the 18 to 44 age band are not yet been vaccinated.
Municipal councillors have been asked to scan lists to collect information on unvaccinated people.
The AMC plans at vaccinating 2,800 sellers and shopkeepers regular from town in 14 urban and community health centers.
