New Delhi: On this day, 16 years ago, when the former Indian Skipper MS Dhoni registered the highest ODI score.
Dhoni reached the achievement against Sri Lanka on October 31, 2005 in the third Odi series seven matches at the Mansingh Sawai Stadium, Jaipur.
Coming to Bat in number three, Dhoni played a knock of 183 running from 145 balls with the help of 15 four and 10 six.
His knock helped the team led by Rahanul Dravid beat Sri Lanka by six goals.

Dhoni is currently a mentor for the Indian Team for the T20 World Cup of an ongoing ICC man.
