Thiruvananthapuram: It was a terrible turn of destiny for Harshad.
Six years ago, Harshad, who then was a daily wage zoo guard, had locked himself at Cobra’s home in an offer of suicide.
He was frustrated for an endless wait for a permanent post at the zoo.
He then became a permanent employee and died of the same snake bite he raised for years in 2015, Harshad sat in a cage with around 30 poisonous snakes for one hour.
He demanded that he need a guarantee from the minister’s office that he would be permanently made.
The problem is communicated to the Minister’s Office and senior official convincing him by telephone whose complaints will be handled soon.
He then volunteered out of the cage.
A native of Kattakkada, Harshad has become a wage guard every day at the zoo for more than 15 years before he recently applied to a permanent job.
Harshad is always tempting with the danger of dealing with dangerous reptiles.
When Anaconda was taken to the city zoo, officials were warned.
As soon as Harshad feeded anaconda when someone jumped from the water and bite him on his right arm after circling in his hand.
Harshad keeps his cool, slowly opened the knot and releases the snake as if it was a plastic strap, harmless.
Under care, Anaconda became a popular exhibition in the zoo and when they began dying, nothing was more injured than Harshad.
Two years ago, he had his arms torn up by crocodiles.
He underwent plastic surgery and immediately returned for assignments.
Even when he was bitten by a snake, Harshad showed the presence of the mind to keep the locked hook or King Cobra will slip outside causing a further danger.
