Once rebels, they now help the Odisha police track Maois

Bhubaneswar: Maois, who recently surrendered in the state, was being involved by the Odisha police in carrying out anti-naxal operations in various districts.

Members of the State Committee, members of the Regional Committee, members of the Central Committee and Politburo members are treated as category-1.
Central Ranking Cadres (Category 2-A) includes the Area Commander, Commander of Sub-Zone and Commander Zone.
Any other hardcore cadres, members in and identify lwe cadres involved in cruel crimes come under the 2-b category.
The government recently increased allowances for vocational training about Naxals who surrendered.
While every Maois gave up was used to receive Rs 4,000 per month for the previous three years, the revised allowance now reached Rs 6,000 per month for three years.
State policy grants remain unchanged.
Under Grant State, a qualified Maoist will get Rs 25,000 towards the land of Homestead, RS 45,000 House Building Assistance, Rs 25,000 for marriage if he is not married and RS 3,000 education benefits every year for three years.
