Thiruvananthapuram: Medical college police here on Thursday arrested a 32-year-old man with charges of motorcycle and cellular theft from the cottage near a medical hospital.
Police identified the defendant as Nixon, a citizen Ayira near Karode here.
The police said that the alleged crime occurred during early January 10.
Jaleeesh Babu, a resident of Thrisha and currently lives in Amritha Lodge located near a complainant hospital in this case.
He had parked a motorcycle in the cottage parking area when stolen.
He also lost his smartphone, which was stored in a bag that attached to the motorbike.
Police said the suspect was identified from visual camera supervision.
It was an investigation using the scientific method that led the police to be accused.
When arrested, the defendant hid in the cottage in Neyattinkara.
The arrest was made by a team led by the Medical College Station House Officer Inspector P Harilal.
The defendant was then produced before the court and returned in the custody of the judiciary.
