One died, driver, conductor, passengers lost because the bus swept in Yavatmal

Yavatmal: Bus Maharashtra State Transport Corppoation (MSRTC) was washed when crossing the bridge overflowing above Nullah in the village of Dahegaon in the Yavatmal District between Umarhed and Pusad on Tuesday morning.
The river and mullah overflow in the district due to heavy rains in the last two days.
The source said the bus (MH 14 / BT-5018) owned by the Nagpur depot came to Nagpur from Nanded.
When the bus reached the village of Dahegaon, 8km from Umarchhed, the driver did not care about the bridge that overflowed over Nolah and allegedly decided to pass flood water.
But the bus loses control and falls on one side and is swept away.
There were 7-8 people, including the driver and conductor, on the bus, said the source and added two passengers who managed to stick to the tree while the other two managed to get on the bus.
“One body has recovered while the driver, conductor and one passenger was reported missing,” the Amol Yedge district collector said.
Tehsildar and police from Umarghed reached the place and supervised rescue operations.
Division Controller Avinash Rajurkar has confirmed the incident and said that rescue operations were underway.
The Yedge collector said that all rivers in the district overflowed and the dam was 100% full.
He urges people not to explore the flood waters or overflow nullah.
“People who live along the banks of the river must remain vigilant,” he said.
“Instructions have been given to officers from all teasts to be careful to avoid unwanted incidents as happened in Dehegaon,” the collector said.
However, he did not have a position to spell the loss of life in the accident.
