Coimbatore: A 34-year-old man was killed and his two friends were injured after their car traveled falling from the flyover and landed at home in Vadakipallayam Pirivu early on Tuesday.
The occupants of the house and other passengers in the car escaped unscathed.
The police said the incident occurred when children 34-year-old R Srikanth, residents of Colony Studio in Ramanathapuram in the city, returned to a hotel room at Polachi Town after a short trip to R Ponnapuram on Tuesday.
He traveled with photographer R Kaarthikannan, 27, from Kavery Nagar in the city, S Gopinath, 27, from Mahalakhim Nagar in a Sangamapallayam near Polarchi, and Kaushik, 27, from Ramanathapuram.
An investigative officer said, “The owner of a personal photo and digital advertising company, Srikanth has checked in at the hotel on Monday night along with his friends to find a location to shoot ads recently.” The four, the officer said, left for R Ponnapuram in early Tuesday.
“While returning, Srikanth lost control of a fast car when they reach the train bridge in Sangampalayam on Jalan Vadakkipalayam-Pollachi while negotiating the curve.
