Noida: The government center throughout the city has a limited stock of Covid-19 vaccine for 20 consecutive days.
As a result, residents who were unable to get Jab in private centers were abandoned in trouble.
They cannot find or order slots online.
The walk-in facility, meanwhile, is still limited in the center.
Rajkumar Sahu, a resident of Shahdara Village near Sector 137, has tried to order a slot for himself and his family for the past week, but in vain.
“I want to get Jab without ordering an online slot but was told about all the opportunities as it wasn’t open.
On the other hand, I could not order a slot on the co-win portal since it was closed immediately after opening,” he said.
“I am a driver.
I have been hit hard by locking and it is difficult to find such work.
I was unable to vaccinate in a private hospital and customers looking for vaccinated drivers,” he said.
In addition, vaccine demand has increased now as hundreds of people infected during the early stages of the second wave – in March and April – now can be vaccinated.
All infected up to April 20 qualified for shots.
However, they cannot find slots in government centers.
Many people have been waiting for vaccinated in government centers, because getting private vaccination for a family of four will cost around Rs 3,120 for only one dose.
Helpful homes also face similar problems.
“I can’t make myself vaccinated so far.
The community has begun to make mandatory vaccination for servants.
I was on the verge of losing my livelihood.
After more than two months, I started working in several households.
But if I failed to vaccinate, me Will lose them too, “said Rojina Mohammad, a resident of Sector 45 in Noida.
Meanwhile, the Chief Medical Officer (CMO) Noida, Dr.
Sunil Sharma, told TI that the government tried to manage with whatever stock they had.
“We have stock now, but there are incompatibility requests and supply on 30-35 centers where vaccination is being carried out.
While 4-5 centers are always crowded, around 30 centers are where people who have registered are not advanced to vaccinate,” he said.
To overcome it, CMO has proposed that vaccines not be used in low demand centers during the day will be given to a special team that will explore the people and villages, establish camps, and vaccinate people.
“We will try to start this from Wednesday as a pilot.
For this, we will try to coordinate with RWA and make an announcement in place,” CMO added.
He said that in some centers around 50% of the walk-in was allowed now, but not enough people appeared.
The field team will be sent from these centers.
