Jodhpur: One person died and eight others were injured when a luxury car that quickly lost his balance and crashed into the roadside emergency hut on Jalan AIIMS here on Tuesday morning.
Before stopping, the car hit many two-wheeled vehicles parked on the road.
The incident triggered chaos in the area with residents of the hut shouted and ran in panic.
Soon, the place is decorated with injured people lying down.
According to the police, all who were injured were in a hurry to the AIIMS hospital nearby, where someone gave up on injury on the way and eight others underwent treatment.
The deceased was identified as a mukesh (30) and three injuries was the occupant of the hut, the other four were commuters hit by a car.
The Chairman of the Ashok Gehlot Minister who reached Jodhpur on Tuesday morning for a day’s visit, also rushed to a hospital directly from the airport and met injured.
He gave direction to the AIIMS doctor and administration to take the best care of all that was injured.
He immediately announced RS 2 Lakh Ex Gratia for the deceased, Rs 1 Lakh for severe injured and Rs 50,000 for injured.
According to ACP (West) Noor Mohammad, a car, who came from the side of Jalan Pal towards AIIMS lost its balance and crashed into the roadside after reaching several two-wheeled two wheels.
“The car runs at high speed.
The driver identified as Amit Nagar immediately handed herself to the police and had been detained,” the officer said.
The place was wearing the appearance of post-storm destruction with two-wheeled two wheels and items from residents of cottages spread around.
Everyone in that place is in a horror state and cannot understand the situation for a few seconds.
Soon, the site is decorated with injured people lying here and there with blood scattered around.
Although investigations were underway, according to several eyewitnesses, the car had moved at high speed and had fun before losing balance and drifting to the hut.
However, the police have not verified observing eyewitnesses.
This is a second incident like that in a month when a quick luxury car has eaten in the city.
Last month, in a similar incident, three people who drove Audi cars had hit roadside vendors and two vehicles in Chopasni Road killed one person in place and injured three others.
One more died for injury around a week later during treatment.
The car was allegedly driven by a small son of Police Inspector Zulfikar Ali and a case had also been registered by the police.
But no one was framed in this case because the police claimed that Ali’s son was not at the steering wheel of eyewitness claims.
