CHENNAI: Southern Railway hauled 1,338 tonnes of compound mulch from Ranipet railroad station to Andhra Pradesh at a 21-wagon train on June 15.
The following train is going to be worked on June 23.
Here is the very first train to be operated that this fiscal year after cargo operations began at the refurbished channel in January.
The railway hauled 701 tonne of compost in 11 wagons into Tadepalligudem and also 637 tonne of mulch in 10 wagons into Krishna Canal Junction creating a sales of Rs 11 lakh.
Goods train operations started after a gap of about 25 years in the channel on January 20.
