THANE: The Anti Narcotics Mobile of Thane crime division arrested one individual and arrested two others for allegedly smuggling 1,466 Lysergic Acid Diethylamide (LSD) blots newspapers sourced in the Netherlands value around Rs 1 crore.
The accused was recognized as Bhavik Thakkara resident of Kalyan while others who were arrested will be officially detained shortly.
The authorities stated that the device got off the tip on Tuesday which Thakkar was going to come near Birla school street in Kalyan.
A trap was set but Thakkar was able to flee after facing the cops that were awaiting.
Through the confrontation, then he dropped his wallet and cell phone.
Police recovered almost 29 LSD blots in the pocket and captured the cell phone.
But on Wednesday, Thakkar that he had been detained by the sleuths.
Throughout the interrogation, Thakkar called a different defendant.
Police captured 1,228 LSD blots in him.
Then he named another defendant as well as 239 blots were captured from him, authorities said.
“Preliminary research showed that the accused obtained the LSD newspapers from the Netherlands by ordering in the darkened web and has been delivered through grim dart courier,” said a senior police officer.
The officer added that the market cost of this LSD paper changes from place to place along with a single newspaper is generally sold beginning Rs 7,000 to Rs 10,000.

A case was filed together with all the Bazarpeth police station under applicable parts of NDPS Act.
