Letter: The police arrested a 32-year-old dance teacher for allegedly arranging the ‘Garba’ session on Dumas Beach.
More than 20 people participated in this session and no one who wore masks and social distance was also not maintained.
Violations of Bharat Sarvaiya, residents of the Mora Bhagal region, registered at the Dumas police station after the video that appeared ‘Garba’ on the coast became a viral on social media.
The ‘Garba’ session was held on Sunday when thousands of visitors were present on the beach.
Sarvaiya was ordered to violate the part of the epidemic law and the Indian criminal code because it did not maintain social distance and did not wear a mask.
Sarvaiya runs ‘Garba’ class known as the Rhythm Group and he went to Dumas on Sunday with 16 of his students.
Initially, they danced with music songs played on Bluetooth speakers and then started doing ‘Garba’.
This video was shared with the Rhythm Group logo and was also posted on their social media yards.
On Sundays some Dumas videos become viruses where thousands of people are seen enjoying the environment on the beach.
Most of them look without a mask and violate social distance norms.
“It seems like it is a spontaneous step by the group.
Because they did not wear a mask and no social distance was maintained, the police registered a violation and the defendant was arrested,” said a police officer at the Dumas police station.
Meanwhile, the police began investigating other birthday celebrations.
In the video of an unknown young man looked cut the cake with a big knife while his friends cheered for him.
The video was taken on the road near Magdalla Cross Road.
“The police worked to identify people in the video,” said a police officer.
