Kengeri police have registered a case of theft against Hementh, based on complaints submitted by Kavitha P, an accountant.
Kavitha told the police that he returned to work around 8am and save Rs 1.4 lakh, the previous day’s collection, in a room.
Hemanth brought Prasadam for him at around 10:30 a.m.
He asked him to save it in the room and give him a key.
About 11:25 a.m., he knew that the money was gone, when the cash collector told him that the door of the cash room was open.
Hemanth reportedly pretended innocent and joined the others in finding money.
