Palanpur: One person was arrested with 1.2kg Opium from nearby check-post in Tharad Taluka from Banskantha on Sunday late at night.
The police said that the contraband it was accused of being accused of Bhakharam Bishnoi from the Jhalor District in Rajasthan.
According to Banskantha supervisor from Tarun Police Kumar Duggal, they got a tip-off that someone would cross the border of Rajasthan-Gujarat with drugs that were prohibited.
On Sunday night, Circle Inspector J D Asodiya stopped Bishnoi when he entered Gujarat from Rajasthan.
Bishnoi was found to have 1.2kg Opium worth RS 1.2 lakh.
The police arrested him and booked it under the NDPS law.
The police also ordered Jinina Rajuram from Madhya Pradesh, who allegedly supplied Opium to Bishnoi.
