Oneplus launches the new XPAN mode feature on its latest flagship smartphone – Oneplus 9 and 9 Pro.
Co-developed with Hasselblad, XPAN mode allows users to experience Hasselblad XPAN cameras in a smartphone.
With two focus length 30mm and 45mm, the user will have the opportunity to photograph a panoramic image with a direct preview from the viewfinder on the Oneplus camera application, bringing a classic XPAN camera perspective to more accessible media.
The photo taken with XPAN mode has a 65:24 aspect ratio, the same as the original Hasselblad XPAN camera.
The image in XPAN mode is cut from the 48MP main camera and 50MP ultra-wide camera instead of the default 12MP mode.
The result is a high resolution image of more than 20MP.
The XPAN image has a resolution of 7552 × 2798 at a 30mm resolution and 7872 × 2916 at 45mm.
“Working with Hasselblad in XPAN mode has helped us create their legendary experience to view your photos in 65:24 format before photographing a wide panoramic image in 30mm and 45mm.
Using XPLUS mode on OnePlus 9 and 9 pro will let our users see the world at Around them through a unique lens, and we are very happy to see how this format will be used by our users and photographers throughout the world.
“Hsiaohua Cheng said, the head of imaging in OnePlus.
Oneplus works with Hasselblad on two film simulation profiles for XPAN mode, including color mode and black and white mode.
Help black and white mode in storytelling with a different perspective.
Color mode has also been optimized with Hasselblad, giving it a rich and realistic color profile.
Users can switch between colors and black / white according to their preferences.
