We generally see reliable tipsters and leakers furnish the details of some upcoming phone, including its renders, specifications etc.
In a rare eventuality, Pete Lau, the CEO of Chinese technology company OnePlus has done it, revealing ‘Nord N200’ to be the next OnePlus phone, as per a report by PC Mag.
The CEO revealed about the device during an email interview with the publication and also shared its image.
The company had announced two new smartphones last month: the OnePlus Nord CE 5G for Europe and India and the Nord N200 5G for North America.
Unlike the Nord N100 that came out last year, the Nord N200 is a 5G-capable smartphone.
The phone will launch in the US, at a price tag somewhere under $250.
The CEO reportedly stated that the N200 will have one other feature apart from 5G that the N100 didn’t have: a 90Hz FHD+ display.
The screen size is 6.49-inch, with a 90Hz 1080p LCD display.
As per the report, the Nord N200 is a rebranded version of the Oppo A93 and if OnePlus hasn’t made major changes with the new phone, then we might see a Snapdragon 480 chipset, a 48MP main camera sensor, two 2MP depth sensors, 5,000mAh battery, a 3.5mm headphone jack and microSD card support.
However, the official specifications have not been confirmed yet.
The OnePlus CEO, in the interview, said: “From the premium and ultra-premium OnePlus 9 series to the OnePlus Nord N200 5G—our newest and most affordable 5G device ever—we’re providing more choices and easier access to 5G for our users.”
