Jaipur: Rajasthan University will hold an online meeting on January 8 because of the surge in the number of Covid cases.
Rajasthan University of Representatives Chancellor Rajeev Jain met the Governor of Kalaraj Mishra to discuss about holding an online meeting.
A Rajasthan University official said that the event will be held at Poddar Institute in Jaipur while the governor will overcome the ceremony from his residence.
“The governor will talk to the names of candidates to get a degree and gold medal.
The slide on the screen will show the name of the student.
The gold medal can be collected later from the university while the degree for undergraduate and postgraduate programs can be collected from each college and department,” said A RU official.
About 100 students will be given a gold medal.
Hundreds of students will receive a degree including graduate, postgraduate and doctoral.
Students will be informed about the immediate event schedule.
