Online Post Spolating Riots, Five Injuries

Palanpur: Five people were injured after clashes between two different community groups of social media posts in the city of Meghraj, Sunday night.
The police have registered a complaint against the masses of both groups for riots, criminal conspiracies, violations of peace, criminal intimidation and relevant parts of the Information Technology Act.
According to the police, riots erupted from posts on social media that insulted certain religions on Sundays.
As soon as the post becomes viral, young people from both communities come out on the road and throwing stones, bottles with each other.
They also attacked each other with sticks and iron pipes.
Police Deputy Inspector Bharat Basiya said that at least five people were injured in riots.
“Chaos wins in a small town.
Need the police about an hour to control the situation coming out of hand.
Both parties have filed a complaint,” said Basiya.
Seeing the second police team scattered.
Basiya said additional strength was deployed and patrol increased in sensitive areas.
The police said that the hordes of both communities were ordered under the IPC part 143,147,148,149 (for riots), 120 B (criminal conspiracy), 337 (attack), 504 (violations of peace) and other relevant parts.
