VADODARA: Apart from the guidelines for hospitalizing patients who suffer from Omicron strains from Covid-19, only two people infected with the variant are currently undergoing hospital care in the city.
The city reported its first Omicron case on December 17 when the elderly pair had tested positive.
After 23 this case appeared by taking the total number of positive cases to 25 sources saying that only two active omicron cases are still still because other cases are released after treatment.
But some of them were found infected with variants only after they recovered and some even left the country or city.
“Most of these cases have been tested negatively for a certain period of time.
Their genome sequencing reports arrived after they tested negatives.
We tested it again to clear them,” said the medical officer (VMC) Corporation (Health) Dr.
Devesh Patel.
The source in the Civic body said that the laboratory carried out sequencing genomes had been flooded with samples.
Pending results and this patient recovered when the results arrived.
According to officials, two active cases are also stable and do not require major maintenance.
They will undergo a Covid-19 test again and will be issued if it was found negative in two continuous tests.
