Jaipur: Only 25 percent of the proposed work has been resolved in Rajasthan under the mission of Shyama Prasad Mukherji Rurban (SPMRM), implemented by the Ministry of Rural Development to develop a Rurban cluster throughout the country, declaring a reply to Lok Sabha.
In Rajasthan, from 6,508 the proposed work under the scheme, only 1,661 activities have been completed since the mission launch on February 21, 2016.
Reply at Lok Sabha was given by the Minister of State (MOS) at the Ministry of Rural Development Sadhvi Niranjan Jyoti on August 10 for questions Not demanded by MP Treatur Hanumal.
According to reply, 16 clusters have been identified in Rajasthan for development.
These are: Arnod (Pratapgarh), Barodiya (BANSWARA), Bhadar (Dungarpur), Bhagora (Banswara), Budshoo (Nagaur), Dablivas Pole (Hanumangarh), Narina (Jaipur), Naugawan (Alwar), Peelikhera (Bikaner), Peelikhera (Pratapgarh), Raniwara Kalan (Jalore), Salawa (BANSWARA), Abapura (Udaipur), Gogunda (Bharatpur), Jurehera (Barmer) and Majiwala (Jodhpur).
SPMRM is being carried out by the Ministry of Rural Development to develop 300 Rurban clusters throughout the country, with funding up to 30% (central and state shares) of investment estimates for each Rurban cluster, as a critical gap funding (CGF), while 70% or more than Funds are mobilized by countries through convergence with a system of synergy and central programs.
The LS answer also stated that the total investment of RS 1,373.38 Crore was approved (convergence + CGF) in Rajasthan, RS 743.74 was spent so far.
