Only 28,000 vaccinated in Tamil Nadu on Wednesday from 1.7 lakh on Monday

Chennai: Tamil Nadu reported 3,367 cases and 64 deaths on Wednesday, took a cumulative tally case to 25.06 lakh and tolls to 33,196.
After the country was dismissed 3,704 people from the registry, there were 34,076 people who were still seeking treatment for viral infections.
Meanwhile, the number of people who took the vaccine fell to 28,270 people on Wednesday, compared with 51,532 on Tuesday and 1.7 lakh on Monday.
While most vaccine centers remain closed until noon, the center allows the wing of immunization of the country to take 1.5 lakh doses from the depot of general medicines in the period on Wednesday.
“By a 2pm vaccine was sent to the district.
While some of the northern districts use this vaccine for night vaccination, most of the districts will be able to use them on Thursday,” said Immunization Director Dr K Vinay Kumar.
Meanwhile, on Wednesday, the case of fresh Covid-19 in all districts was below 400.
Coimbatore Western District, Erode and Salem reported 385, 288 and 214 cases.
All other districts reported less than 200 cases each.
While Thanjavur and Tiruppur respectively reported every year and 197 cases, Chennai reported 196 new cases and trichy 142.
At least 27 districts reported the case in two digits.
Screening (19), Tencasi (17) and Ramanathapuram (13) reported less than 20 cases.
Of the 64 deaths, Chennai reported six and Madurai and Theni reported five respectively.
While Coimbatore reported four, Trichy reported three.
Eight districts reported zero death and 19 reported one death.
